Pilot Travel Centers and Pegasus TransTech

to Offer TRANSFLO ExpressTM System

Service Improves Cash Flow By Enabling Fleets

to Bill Customers the Same Day that Load is Delivered

March 4, 2002 – LasVegas, NV – Pilot Travel Centers, LLC, and Pegasus TransTech  announced today the TRANSFLO ExpressTM document scanning services will be offered at the fuel desks of Pilot’s Travel Centers beginning this month. This new service provides fleets with instant access to trip documents and speeds up the billing cycle. Pilot will place TRANSFLO Express systems in all of its 236 Travel Centers nationwide.

“Our customers have asked for a better solution than regular mail or expensive overnight delivery services to retrieve delivery documents and other paperwork from their drivers, and we’re responding,” Mark Hazelwood, executive vice president of Pilot Travel Centers, LLC, said.  “This new system means that fleets will be able to bill their customers the same day a load is delivered.”

The process is simple, requires no special training for the drivers and is affordable for all fleets, regardless of size. Trained cashiers scan a driver’s trip documents in a matter of seconds and hand the original documents to the driver along with a confirmation receipt. The images are immediately available to the fleet operators for retrieval, billing and driver settlements.  Fleets with existing imaging systems may retrieve the documents and place them directly into their in-house imaging and workflow systems with a Pegasus TransTech-provided Gateway system, while companies without an imaging system can utilize the TRANSFLO ASP Image Warehouse or receive the images via e-mail for immediate processing.

“This is a big step in our commitment to the transportation industry to condense the time span between when a driver delivers a load until they receive payment for that load,” Leslie Berlin, president and CEO of Pegasus TransTech, said. “This service can easily shorten the billing process for our customers by one to five days, which has a tremendous impact on their cash flow and unbilled revenue.”

“Most fleets are already spending that same amount of money on overnight delivery or postage, so the TRANSFLO ExpressÔ Scanning Service is a replacement cost to them, not an additional cost,” Bob Helms, Pegasus chairman, said.

Pilot is the nation’s number-one seller of diesel fuel to the trucking industry and a major player in the gasoline, retail and fast-food industries as well. Headquartered in Knoxville, Tenn., Pilot Travel Centers operates 236 travel centers in 38 states. Pilot Corporation also operates 67 convenience stores in three states. Access Pilot online at pilottravelcenters.com or call Pilot at (800) 562-6210.

To speed up cash flow and reduce overhead, Pegasus TransTech provides carriers with affordable in-house and out-sourced imaging systems that streamline billing, collections, payroll, A/P, driver qualifications and other paper-intensive processes.  Fleets can choose either TRANSFLO™, a complete in-house system, or TRANSFLO ASP, an out-sourced service. Visit Pegasus TransTech on-line at www.transflo.com or contact a Pegasus representative at (800) 783-8649, ext. 309.
